This is fantastic news from Laura:

New Classrooms Being Constructed

So happy to share that the construction on the school has recommenced! Donald Mobley and his crew are here until the 26th. We are very happy to have them here for Christmas as they have become like family to us. This is being completed with funds raised this year separate from your generous hurricane relief donations. [link to more photos on FB]  I will post more pictures once they have finished the work week. We will be another step forward in finishing the school. Thank you all and God bless.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving!A special day this year since we’re very much appreciative of all of the donations to support the hurricane relief effort in addition to the school and church.

Thank you to all of our supporters and generous donors!

Goat Giveaway! Hurricane Recovery Continues

From Laura’s facebook page:

I only have these three photos to share with you from yesterday’s goat give away. Many came once night had fallen. My husband said that he didn’t have to tell anyone to smile in these pictures. He said that one woman raised her hands to the Lord and prayed thanks to God for replacing the goat she lost in the hurricane!! This brings tears to my eyes while typing it!! Just look at what your donations are doing! Every penny helping these that lost so much. They know they haven’t been forgotten. They have hope for their future that God promised them.

The give away went off without one single problem!! I will post next week when we buy more!! Also, at least half of the goats he purchased were already pregnant!! Some people will have more goats in as little as two months!!

Food Bags & Seed for Belle Vie & Surrounding Villages

An update from Laura on her Facebook page.  This is fantastic!

bags-of-food-in-lagonaveHello everyone. Sorry it has taken so long for an update. The Internet hasn’t been working. We have been busier than ever! We made up 350 food bags and 225 seed bags for planting. We gave them out yesterday. The need is a bit overwhelming. We had more people show up than I could have imagined. More than even after the earthquake. But thanks to your donations 325 family’s are eating well right now. Multiply that number by 6 for an average family size and you will have the number of people fed! We can’t thank you enough.

food-distribution-in-haitiI would like to make an amendment to my previous post of serving 325 families here. Your donations also fed people in three other villages!! We gave money to other missionaries to help them purchase more food in their communities! It really is amazing when you step back and see all of your obedience to the Lord pay off. This is a time of blessing when you actually get to see the fruit of your obedience in giving. Also, Feed My Starving Children has sent so much food to Haiti!! That is what most of the food to the south has been where the hurricane hit hardest. They are such an amazing ministry!

Thanks to All of the Generous WWTers!

We’ve had a tremendous outpouring of support from many organization and individuals but I wanted to draw special attention to my fantastic employer, World Wide Technology (WWT).

wwt-logoNot only has WWT, as a company, supported our efforts in Haiti but many individuals from WWT have been major contributors and  have given generously through the years.  It’s truly a great place to work!

THANK YOU, WWT!

Laura Shares a Video!

Received this from Laura and it’s also posted on her Facebook page, where she shares a video of the food supplies they just purchased for the village.  It’s over a ton of rice, beans, cooking oil, etc.
